Ghana’s leading television channel, TV3 Network, has this week announced preparations to commence this year’s edition of its popular television kids talent reality show, Talented Kidz.
Auditions for this year’s edition of the popular show will take place this month in Takoradi, Kumasi and Accra. The auditions will take place on 18th & 19th January 2021 at Connect FM (Pipe Ano) in Takoradi, then on 21st and 22nd January at Akoma FM (by the Mall) in Kumasi with final auditions taking place at the premises of TV3 Network in Accra on 24th and 25th January 2021.
Going into its twelfth edition, Talented Kidz is open to children between the ages of 7 and 12 with different talents including dancing, singing, acting, acrobatics, magic, spoken word, poetry and others. The organisers have urged parents and guardians of children hoping to participate in this year’s edition to send a 30 seconds performance video to WhatsApp number 0542 448 297 before the audition dates.
The General Manager for MG Television, Francis Doku said “Talented Kidz is a platform created to develop children with various talents. Over the years, we have had participants of the show making great impact and contribution to society after the show. One of them is DJ Switch, the winner of season eight who is now a global star and made it onto the list of 50 Global Influential Women changing the world”.
Mr. Doku also mentioned Season 10 winner, Nakeeyat Abdul Dramani Sam who is currently a Sanitation Ambassador for the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources as well as season one’s Awal Mohammed who is now one of the nation’s most gifted rappers.

Sony Music Announces Partnership With WatsUp TV
Leading Pan-African entertainment TV Channel, WatsUp TV has announced a new partnership with international music company, Sony Music to promote talents across the African continent.
The partnership which is geared towards the benefits of several music talents will witness an agenda to solidify the prominence of various artists in Africa as WatsUp TV gets the opportunity with its platforms in multiple African countries to promote their works and extend them to new audiences.
Speaking about this august partnership, ABD Traore , CEO of WatsUp TV noted that, this partnership with Sony Music will give a big push to the works WatsUp TV has embarked on over the years to promote Pan-African music content and distribute them across the continent and beyond. He also noted that, talents affiliated to Sony Music will also get the opportunity to market their works and have the African continent appreciate their crafts.

In a further statement on how Sony Music intends to help musicians in West Africa, Jim noted that, “it is popular knowledge that West Africa houses some of the biggest and best universal talents. Irrespective of such worthy feat, the greatest challenge still remains having to break in (both locally and otherwise) and also maintain market focus. Sony Music is bringing her experiential knowledge of the music business to bridge the gap in community practice between the grassroots and overseas. We are implementing systems in coalition with regulatory bodies, DSPs, telcos, people in fintech, the media, to propoud solutions that will contribute to changing the behaviour and pattern of response to product creation, marketing and consumption using home-derived formulas.
He also mentioned that, Sony Music will also be offering support to different tiers of artistes, by creating opportunities that they can take advantage of to level up in terms of music cred and brand representation with their colleagues from western shores.
Interestingly, a delegation team from the West Africa office were present in Ghana for a scouting and partnerships exercise in December.

‘Touch of France’, a personality TV show, which has its hostess to be H.E Anne Sophie AVÉ, the Ambassador of France to Ghana had the privilege of catching up with the Chief Executive Officer of EIB Network and associate producer of the ‘Touch of France’ program, Nathan Kwabena Adisi is also known as Bola Ray for an exclusive One on One interview.
On ‘Touch Of France’, Bola Ray shares his inspiring life story to remind people especially young folks that everything is possible with hard work and perseverance. He shared that, growing up, though life wasn’t that smooth, he promised his mother, he will be the first DJ with a Bachelor’s Degree, buy her a house when she turns 60 and makes her the happiest mother, which he has achieved.
He emphasized that he had the conviction that whatever you conceive you will achieve “whatever you put your mind to it you can achieve it I have been a firm believer of whatever you conceive you can achieve, I told my mum I will buy her a house when she turns 60 and I did. I told her I will be the first DJ with a degree, she didn’t understand why with my two Degrees I will be doing DJING and not working in the bank”
He spoke on how he was able to turn things around from a Club DJ to hosting shows on BBC, TV3, JOYFM, Starr FM and now a CEO and a Business Mogul inspiring the youth around the world. Bola touched on issues around what could be termed his favorite muse: tightening the ties between Africa and the rest of the world: including business with France, Knowing more about France and the importance of being abreast with the language and exploring business opportunities and even does a detour to comment on the developments of the relationship between France and Ghana.
‘Touch of France’ is a television show that is based on the idea of propagating the open cultural exchange between France and Ghana The show addresses different themes, bridging Ghana and France, it aims at showing that in many areas of what Ghana and France have in common.

TV3’s “Return To School” Fair Will Commence Today
Ghana’s number one television station, TV3 Network, in partnership with leading urban lifestyle radio brand, 3FM, is organizing the much anticipated educational materials fair dubbed “Return To School Fair 2021”. The four day fair scheduled to start from Thursday 14th January and end on Sunday 17th January 2020 will take place at the Junction Mall, Nungua between the hours of 9am and 8pm daily.
Parents and students can visit the fair for a wide range of books and other educational materials including school uniforms, shoes, sandals, sneakers and specially made personal protective equipment for children.

Two Bloggers Apologize To Stonebwoy For Spreading False Rumors About His Family
A blogger from Gideons Web and another from a blog identified as Razak Ghana apologized in the late hours of Monday, January 4, 2020 after they were invited by the Greater Accra regional Police Command for having publicly made a publication on their various official social media timelines promulgating a false rumor that Dr. Louisa’s son is for Blakk Cidi (former employee at the Burniton Music Group) instead of Stonebwoy.
In a social media publication made on Sunday, December 27, 2020, and Tuesday, December 29, 2020 respectively, the two suggested to the right thinking member of the society that the award-winning reggae/ragga & dancehall musician is not the biological father of the boy, but rather his former confidant and manager is the male genetic contributor to the creation of the infant.
However in a simultaneous news release shared via same medium, the Bloggers identified as Gideon Ofori and Razak Ghana whose distasteful false rumour has been widely circulated, apologized for subjecting Stonebwoy and his family to public ridicule and pain due to due to their amateurish type of blogging. The also called other bloggers and social media users who had screenshot the post and have published it on their platforms to pull it down.
He advised his comrades to get serious with their profession and also take the ethics of the job serious in order not to infringe people’s right.
