GREATER ACCRA – Friday, April 17, 2020/www.gbafrica.net/ – Ghanaian dance-hall musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale and his Shatta Movement team on Friday 17th April 2020 made a donation to the James Camp Prisons located at Roman Ridge in Accra.
The assorted items donated by the team included food items (bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, sacks of sugar, boxes of spaghetti, boxes of frozen chicken wings, canned tomatoes), boxes of biscuits, laundry and bath soaps, boxes of toilet tissue, cartons of soft drinks, dental care kit and copies of the Odyssey of Shatta Wale book.
The items were presented by Mr. Charles Mensah (Shatta Capo) on behalf of Shatta Wale, the multiple award winning Ghanaian musician who doubles as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Shatta Movement Music Production.
Mr. Mensah highlighted that the recent donations to the various prisons around the country falls under the Shatta Supports initiative, a humanitarian drive to give back to society and particularly support the underprivileged in society.
“We have been doing this for several years now and I want to put on record that this donation is not as a result of the Covid – 19 pandemic. Rather, this is to help put smiles on the faces of several disadvantaged people in society and give them hope. It is our desire to contribute to the human capital development of people within our communities and also help develop their skills as a means to add value to their lives”, he added.

Gold Certified Dance-hall Artiste, Vybz Kartel, Readies For New Album – [OF DONS AND DIVAS]
On the heels of the January released To Tanesha album, Dancehall star Vybz Kartel is back with a brand new album, “Of Dons and Divas.” The album is produced by Short Boss Muzik/ Vybz Kartel Muzik.
An all-star cast of artistes was enlisted for the album, including Sikka Rymes, Lisa Hyper Teejay, Skillibeng, Daddy1, Slimatic, sons Likkle Vybz and Likkle Addi. This project strays from the sound of his previous album, which was predominantly Hip Hop. Eshun To Pay 50K Not 120K For Her Social Media Pages – Contract Reveals
GREATER ACCRA – Sunday, May 31, 2020/www.gbafrica.net/ – A contract containing the agreement for transfer of digital platforms between Songstress – Ethel Esi Eshun, known as Eshun, and her former manager and fiancee – Stephen Mensah has denied the false accusations from the Ghanaian born female musician, regarding the release of Twitter, Facebook Page and Instagram, with the handle @eShunonline.
According to the contract, it was agreed that, the former Quophimens Musiq signee shall pay for the Twitter, Facebook Page and Instagram with the handle @eShunonline a sum of Fifty Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHS50,000) within 3 months in three instalments. After each payment, Quophimens Musiq shall give credentials of one of the digital platforms – Facebook, Twitter and Instagram respectively to Ethel Esi Eshun.
Earlier, songstress eShun finally made her fans privy to how come there is a swap of display picture on her official Instagram account. In an interview eShun disclosed that she opened all her social media handles with Stephen Mensah but when she defected from his camp as his artiste, he logged her out and changed all the passwords.
She further revealed that Stephen Mensah asked her to make payments to have all the accounts back. “I was frustrated after the back and forth so I told him he should change the name on the handles, to which he said no. He stated that he will hand them to me at the fee of GH¢120,000”.
However, the agreement has it that, such outrageous figure quoted by the singer is false. It was agreed that, Quophimens Musiq shall not interfere with the operations in any way form or shape with the digital platforms after the final payment of the agreed amount. This agreement sets forth the entire agreement between the parties. No modification, amendment, waiver, termination or discharge of this agreement shall be binding unless contained in a writing signed and dated by the party sought to be bound.
The agreement also states that, no waiver of any term or condition of this agreement in any instance shall be deemed or construed as a waiver of such term or condition for the future, or of any subsequent breach thereof. Should any provision of this agreement be adjudicated as void, invalid or inoperative, such provision shall be deemed stricken from this agreement, and the remainder of the provisions shall continue in full force and effect, binding on both parties, as if the void, invalid or inoperative provision had not been contained herein.
It was agreed that, no breach of this agreement by either party shall be deemed material unless within ten (10) days after the non-breaching party learns of such breach, that party serves written notice thereof on the breaching party specifying the nature thereof and the breaching party fails to cure such breach, if any, within twenty-one (21) days after receipt of such notice. This agreement shall be deemed to have been in the Republic of Ghana and its validity, construction, performance and breach shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana applicable to agreements made and to be wholly performed therein.
