In February, Nigerian Artiste and Entrepreneur, Mr. Eazi, announced Ghanaian Afropop artiste – Camidoh as part of the the 30 creatives who were chosen to take part in his talent incubator program emPawa Africa. Each artiste received a $10,000 grant – not loan towards filming a music video, as well as mentorship, marketing services from professional video directors, singers, and producers.

Accomplishing his task, the ”For My Lover” hitmaker has released visuals to his love oriented and soothing jam, dubbed ”Ajackie” which had the audio side premiered in October. With production credit given to Nektunez, the song addresses yet another relationship issue plaguing the young people and sometimes the old in recent times. Known as a talented artiste, the message was completely unerring.

“The song talks about a man and woman in relationship, however, the man lacks what it takes to satisfy a woman sexually. This led to the break-up of the relationship, after the lady wasn’t tolerant to allow the man fix the issue”, Camidoh tells the story behind the song

“Ajackie” by Camidoh was produced by Nektunez and serves as a follow up to his recent Extended Play, “CP”. He is however promoting the acoustic version of the EP. Stream here: lnk.to/CruxCamidohCPAcoustic

A rising star in Ghana’s rapidly flourishing drill scene, 17-year-old Yaw Tog is currently riding high on a tidal wave of international acclaim. Last year, the rapper partnered with O’Kenneth, City Boy, Reggie and Jay Bahd for his song “Sore”, which quickly became a runaway hit for the scene.

Late last year, platinum-selling UK MC Stormzy made the trip out to the West African nation to hop on the track’s remix alongside fellow Ghanaian rhymer Kwesi Arthur. A non-stop onslaught of energy, the remix lands today with a set of high-energy visuals from KooPokuStudios.

To give the new track a test run, Stormzy took to the stage at Ghana’s UPP Festival when he performed there on New Year’s Eve just gone. Suffice to say, it went down quite well. Yaw Tog is dropping his debut EP, TIME, on March 25, which you can pre-save here.

And here comes a switch up, Ghanaian rap sensation, Phrimpong teams up with Shatta Wale for “Ohia”, another Khendi Beatz produced hot single. The young and fierce rapper recently shook the rap scene over a verse he found demeaning to his home base, and got Ghana talking about his prowess.

Fast forward he brings the streets with him in a narrative touching on their realities in “Ohia”. The dance inspired jam is a confrontation of success and the delays in achieving them, attributed to poverty.

The collaboration is certainly in the good books of Ghana music, with Phrimpong cleverly running the sticky hooks while Shatta Wale spice it up on some ragga entry. Ohia comes with a Kenn Ayiah “grass to grace” conceptualized music video for the Moniyard Empire artiste. Watch below:
