Premiere: Amanda Ofori Surrenders It All To God In New Single ‘Hopeless Without You’ [LISTEN HERE]

Published

on

London-based Ghanaian gospel singer and songwriter, Amanda Ofori serves believers with a soulful new song, ‘Hopeless With You’, expressing and acknowledging God’s superiority in every facet of her life. She casts all her insecurities aside for Him and asks we do same, as He is our everything and in His presence we find hope.

‘’I am happy to announce the release of my new single. I received the words and rhythm of this song in one of the most painful seasons of my life in 2013. As I sat down ‘’still’’ during my quiet time, the words came along with the melody. I got to a place where my complete hope had to be in the Lord. I am so grateful to have Cwesi Oteng feature on the song’’, Amanda beams with excitement.

Amanda Ofori is a young vibrant worshiper who has been passionate about gospel music from a very young age. Being brought up in a Christian household, from the age of 2, Amanda was inspired by her grandmother and mother who worship every morning with local and foreign gospel music. Her morning rides to school with her mum were filled with worship songs by Don Moen and Michael Smith which influenced her love for worship music. Amanda began pursuing her passion – from the age of 8 began writing songs and putting together melodies the Lord lays on her heart. Her musical influences include Tasha Cobbs, Kierra Sheard, Chris Tomlin, Joe Mettle, Benjamin Dube and Fred Hammond.

Coming from the rich cultural heritage of Ghana, Amanda has also been writing songs with fusion of Ghanaian and English language which she is excited to work on in the future. Amanda sings in her local church choir and has also had the opportunity to minister in songs at various gospel events. She has also sung in various choirs and also supported backing vocals for Hanson Asiedu.

‘Hopeless Without You’ was written and composed by Amanda Ofori, featuring and produced by Cwesi Oteng, mixed and mastered by Mahanaim Studio, keyboard by Emmanuel Cobbold, drums by Lord Listowell and bass by Jason Elliot. ‘Hopeless Without You’ is available for streaming and downloads globally here: https://fanlink.to/HopelessWithoutYou

Ayisi – A.I Sets The Right Tone For 2021 With ‘Blessings’ [Listen Here]

Published

on

There’s that mystique when he’s about to release a song and there should be. The quality that is attached to his name is his brand and he understands that more than anyone. It’s been a trend frankly, after ‘Prayer’ and ‘Mokole’, both songs from last year (2020), the charismatic spiritual gospel-like songs that he’s putting out. Stream/listen here: https://fanlink.to/BraAyisi-Blessings

One can only wonder what he must be going through for the ‘Grind’ hitmaker to be taking a matured spiritual outlook on life as such. Suffice to add also that of course his character is very prominent in his songs to the point that even though they are gospel-like songs (so to speak), you can hear his bad-mouth also in there and it doesn’t take anything away from the songs at all.

Interesting and clever is how we describe his lyrics. It’s the fluent delivery for any listener that gets you keeping his work on replay. Genius is what everybody knows him as and that is why we can’t wait to hear more from him.

Thankfully, he has one for us to begin the year 2021 quite rightly with. Titled ‘Blessings’, produced by Groovydhistune, mixed by E.L and mastered by Pee GH, what else can we say, it’s Ayisi, we’ll love it.
