In South Africa, the brand is partnering with J’Something to elevate new voices through #CreateAtHome. Both artists selected to collaborate with J’Something have a unique factor: S’phiwe Moya’s flow, energy and her ability to bring lyrics across and Aidan Fraser’s unforgettable tone and character.

The resulting song, “Wish You Were Here”, shows a range of diversity and versatility with J’Something co-producing and Jay Em editing each artist’s part that was sent via voice note, a process that is essentially unconventional but which yielded an amazing result.

Dzidu Preaches Love And Commitment On New Song – ‘Ablavi’

Published

on

Titled ‘Ablavi’, Dzidu enlists JJ Gonami on his new Ewe dominated sound. It’s a song about love and commitment even in times of struggle. Ablavi is a name given to females born on Tuesday and it’s the Ewe equivalent of Abena.

Atop the well laid sound, Dzidu talks about Ablavi’s sacrifice for him; her time and commitment despite his low status at the time. He’s in good standing now and will reward her for her loyalty to him. Dzidu delivers verses 1 & 2 in Twi and Ewe, whiles JJ Gonami hands us the chorus in Ewe, adding some diversity to the song and inviting audiences not only fluent in Twi as well.

Ghanaian Rapper Tinny Collaborates With London Based Singer M-Fly On “Heartbeat”.

Published

on

GREATER ACCRA, GHANA, May 28th, 2020/www.gbafrica.net/ Tinny is one of the many hitmakers who kept the Ghanaian rap culture growing in the early 2000s with relevant artistry and top-notch branding, almost every household had his record-breaking hit “Makola Kwakwe”

From the beaches and the streets of Labadi (a suburb of Accra), all the way to the rest of the country and other parts of the African continent, Tinny had his sounds echoing from every corner.

Tinny has been consistent with his style which is normally a lot of GA (Ghanaian language spoken by GAs) with a blend of English and other Ghanaian languages.

This brand new record is one of Tinny’s most recent projects which has been carefully created purposely for the amusement of his fans and everyone at large, he featured one of West London’s finest singers M-Fly who also doubles as a music producer as well.

M-Fly who has always been a fan of Tinny’s music took the opportunity to work with Tinny as he travelled to Ghana late 2019 on a project trip with AfroWired Producers Camp.

The title of this record is “Heartbeat” which translates how smooth this record is especially having these two on it.

The most amazing part of this whole song is the fact that M-Fly who is a British-born decided to mix his lyrics with a bit of Twi (a Ghanaian language spoken by Akans) – yes this is a bit hilarious to imagine but honestly, it came out beautiful.

The song was produced by super-talented AfroWired in-house producer Viqtorioz.
