Three times Songwriter of the year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs), Kofi Kinaata, has shared a new project dubbed “Coronavirus” that seeks to enhance Government’s vigorous or determined attempt to sensitise people on the impact of the global pandemic as well as the symptoms and its safety precautions.
Accompanied with visuals directed by Director Abbass, with sound production credits given to Two Bars, the award-winning musician brought together a diverse of local dialects to help disburse messages that were conveyed in the song to reach its right deserved target group.
Mainly centred on the fisherfolk in Ghana, the project was shot at the seashore, with support from the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Fisheries Commission, Ghana National Canoe Fishermen Council, National Fish Processors and Traders Association, the University of Rhode Island and USAID.
Bisa Kdei drops visuals for “Sika” featuring Gyakie
Multiple award-winning highlife artiste and record producer Bisa K’dei has released the long-awaited video of his hit single ‘Sika’ which featured rising female music sensation, Gyakie. The video directed by Abass is a beautifully synchronised masterpiece which music lovers would appreciate.
The song produced by Apya narrates a love story Bisa K’dei sang to his lover. The song reveals that if he was financially stable, she would realize that he loves her and would not lack, promising her travels around the world.
Sika, which denotes ‘money’ in the Akan language, fuses with the beautiful voices of the two which makes it soothing to listen. The vocal prowess of the duo told an authentic love story and portrays the need to be patient in love affairs.
This is the second time they have teamed up on a song with the first being ‘Sor Mi Mu‘ which was released earlier this year.

Fantana Revamps With New Commanding Tune “No Dulling” [Watch Here]
AfroBeats / AfroDancehall Artiste Fantana has sprung out of nowhere after a long absence from the music scene. The former Rufftown records signed act was last heard when she went on a rant against her label mate Wendy Shay which caused a whole frenzy in the Ghanaian entertainment industry. She further released a couple of single which included Rich Gyal Anthem off the Riddim of the Gods which was produced by JMJ and Backstabber which featured Larruso. The new single she has for us here is titled “No Dulling” and this record is produced by Mix Master Garzy.
The song which has an afrodancehall vibe talks about a female’s anticipation to have a wonderful time with the man of her dreams and she will make the experience worth the while. Ennwai Releases Visuals For ‘Always Busy’ [Watch Here]
Ghanaian Afro-fusion artist, Ennwai has released the official video for his song ‘Always Busy’, directed by Scoby Philms. ‘Always Busy‘ is off his latest EP ‘My Time’ which was released on the 29th of January, 2021. The 4 tracked EP showcases an impressive solo project that describes the singer’s own moments with an inspiration to shine to the world.
Ennwai channels his energy mixed with his extraordinary vocals of afrobeat, dancehall, and reggae to bring to the doorsteps of music lovers this captivating song and video. The video shot in the environs of oceanic and coastal scenery sends out a message that ‘the devil is always busy, thus obstacles might come your way. But God is working’. Following the restoration of Dancehall artistes Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy into the VGMA, both artistes have expressed some sort of displeasure at the board and organizers for now following necessary protocols before taking a decision against their brands.
Shatta Wale in his new song ‘LIFT’ states the fact he doesn’t need any award scheme to elevate or lift him to higher heights and you can see this in the artwork of the song as well as hear it in the lyrics that translate to “Take your lift (lifting of VGMA Ban), God has already lifted me’.
