Bulldog is the best artist manager in Ghana – Papi 5Five Discloses

After leaving the scenes in the entertainment industry for some number of years, Papi of 5Five music group fame resurfaces as a solo artist to serve his fans with his dope music. Papi rejoins his old manager Bulldog of Bullhouse Entertainment to once again re-spark the fire he had back in the days.

Bulldog who is the manager of Shatta wale, one of Ghana’s biggest artists in Ghana is described by Papi 5Five as the best manager Ghana has ever seen. He recalls his early days when Bulldog used his first salary to invest in his first videos stating that Bulldog has always and still is a blessing to him.

“Bulldog made the group 5Five and for that, I owe him my loyalty”, Papi disclosed. Speaking on the ‘One On One On GBtv’ Papi showered praises on his manager and reassures that with Bulldog he is going to go far.  

Papi hopes for the best with his alliance with his manager despite Bulldog managing another big artist. He urges his fans to be on the lookout for his music as he hopes to drop two singles and an EP before the year ends.

As Promised By King Promise Becomes Ghana’s Highest Streamed Album On Spotify

King Promise; Ghanaian highlife artiste’s posthumous debut album featuring a range of 15 songs dubbed “As Promised” becomes Ghana’s highest streamed album on Spotify after surpassing 24 million plays on the Swedish music streaming and media services provider. The guest artistes on the album are highlife veteran, Kojo Antwi, Wizkid, Sarkodie, Simi, Omar Sterling, Mugeez and Raye.

Released in 2019, The 15-track project, which King Promise hand-selected alongside Legacy Life Entertainment(his record label) from his “vault” has record which includes ‘Intro (Nungua Blues/ Mama’s Prayer)’, ‘Odo (ft. Raye)’, ‘Commando’, ‘My lady’, ‘Selfish part 2 (ft. Simi)’, ‘I tried’, ‘Letter’, ‘Hangover (ft. Omar Sterling)’, ‘Happiness’, ‘Obee esh3’, ‘F. O. D. D (F**k Op Da Dancefloor)’.

“Let Us Have TiC Vs Exdoe” – Merqury Quaye Proposes A Battle Between Two Of Ghana’s Biggest MCs

With the objective of bringing joy and entertainment to millions of hip-hop and rap music fans across the country who are stuck indoors due to the coronavirus pandemic, celebrated Ghanaian Disk Jockey and Radio and TV personality, Merqury Quaye, has taken to his official twitter handle to propose a lyrical battle between two of Ghana’s biggest MCs; TiC and ExDoe.

According to the founder of Ghana DJ Awards, it will be a delight to see these two MCs who dominated the music scene for more than a decade bring the heat back in a battle to highlight their discographies in a worthy number of rounds during a three-hour session and also an opportunity for Ghanaians to celebrate their pivotal contributions to the creative industry.

Responding to Merqury Quaye’s tweet and showing interest in the proposed battle, TiC posted

“Wow not a bad idea but yo! I don’t think my big bro @exdoeofficial is a match for me you could have paired me with someone else but not him”

ExDoe making his presence known in anticipation for this event also said;

“Hahaha, I laugh in capital letters, somebody is looking for trouble. He is very good, don’t get me wrong but when it comes to performance and clash that’s what I eat, @TiCmusicGh is for software artists.”

By virtue of their tweets, it is obvious they are ready for the this to happen, thus far, industry stakeholders and investors can make history by setting the standards right for this Merqury Quaye proposed clash.

A Feature Film Centering On The “Jerusalema” Dance Craze Is Set To Premiere

Shot over two days on a custom-built set at Cape Town Film Studios, hundreds of South African actors and crew members will, on Thursday, unite to make a two-element; a scripted narrative and a mass dance sequence feature film centering on the “Jerusalema” dance craze that has swept the world, according to reports by Variety.

The film, directed by Calvin Hayward alongside Abongwe L.Booi, and produced by Cheryl Eatock and James Muringani, coincides with Heritage Day, which celebrates the Rainbow Nation’s multiple cultures. In the mass dance sequence, performers will dance to “Jerusalema,” the upbeat gospel-inspired song, which features the voice of singer Nomcebo Zikode and was produced by Master KG.

The project has received product and facilities sponsorship from Cape Town Film Studios, Media Film Service, The Refinery, Panavision, Film Afrika Fresh Unit Logistics, Steers, Debonairs Pizza, Fleet Star, Sterling Logistics, Bluewater, and CCPP Equipment Rental, as well as the support of local government in Cape Town and regional org Wesgro.

The official video of “Jerusalema” has pulled in more than 160 million views on social media since its premiere on YouTube in December. It has sparked a global viral dance challenge that started in Angola when a group of friends recorded a video of the dance choreography. Enthusiasts around the world – from frontline health workers in a Sweden hospital to priests in Italy – have shared posts of their versions of the dance. Early this month, “Jerusalema” became the world’s most Shazamed song.

South Africa’s President, Cyril Ramaphosa, gave the dance challenge his backing during a televised COVID-19 update last week. He encouraged all South Africans to perform the dance challenge on Heritage Day.

He said “Jerusalema” was “a song I love so much,” adding: “I urge you to take up this challenge and show the world what we are capable of.” He said it symbolized what South Africa had managed to achieve combating the pandemic.
